Our Community Relationship Manager Jane Dunk presented $1,500 worth of vouchers to the
Windana Support Centre last week on behalf of Pine Rivers Community Finance. Windana have a long and proud history as one of the first domestic violence refuges in Queensland.
The community as a whole all over Australia has seen a rise in domestic violence due to COVID 19 lockdown restrictions. Pine Rivers Community Finance Limited are very happy to assist with funds to support families escaping from domestic violence.
Windana operates 5 crisis accommodation units and 4 transitional houses. They work with women and children using strength based practices and strive to create an environment where the strengths of women and children are celebrated, affirmed and consolidated upon.
Windana is committed to actively participating in the prevention, intervention and education strategies that will put an end to domestic violence.
