Defibrillator Program

Community Bank Samford is proud to provide this lifesaving service to the community.

Commencing in 2017, this program is all about increasing the number of automatic external defibrillators (AED) located in public places within the Samford and Pine Rivers area, that are readily accessible to the community.

These essential devices are literal lifesavers – they’re fully automatic and are relatively easy to use. The machine (once placed on the person experiencing heart issues) is able to measure the heart rate of the person and determine if a shock is needed.
There are a number of AED devices located across the region. If your community organisation requires an AED and it can be installed in a publicly accessible area on your premises, please fill out the expressions of interest form below. For more information, please email grants@prcf.com.au.

Defensive Driving Course

Another program as part of the #Bendigo4life program is the Defensive Driving Course. The Community Bank Samford organises a day of classroom defensive driving knowledge and practical driving experience at the famous Lakeside Park raceway and driver training facility at Kurwongbah.

Our Defensive Driving program commenced in 2012 and has been very popular with teenagers, learners, and P-Platers.

The Community Bank Samford are proud supporters of this program that not only raises more awareness about road safety but also reinforces police messaging around saving more young lives on our roads.

Parents also appreciate the course because they allow young drivers to gain sound driving skills plus some confidence behind the wheel in a controlled environment.

The #BENDIGO4LIFE program usually runs in the first weeks of each December.

2024 Defensive Driving Program
